How to Wear a Lariat
A lariat is simply a long strand with two small loops at either end that you can wear as a necklace or belt. You can create several different looks with a lariat, a few of which are mentioned here. You really are unlimited in your choices of display.
Step
1
Hold the center of the lariat at your throat. Bring the ends around your neck and back to the front. You can leave the ends hanging this way, or you can pull one looped end through the loop of the other end.
Step
2
Tie a knot in the lariat for another look. Hold both ends in one hand, tie a knot about 3 inches up and leave the ends to dangle. You can wear the knot hanging down your front or turn it around and hang it down your back.
Step
3
Center your lariat at the back of your neck and wrap the ends around to the front like a collar. You can wear the lariat this way or tie one end over the other up high toward your neck or lower toward the ends of your lariat. You can also just wrap the lariat loosely around your neck several times.
Step
4
Use your lariat as a belt when you tie it around your waist to accent long blouses, dresses or skirts. Leave one end longer than the other, or hang both ends evenly down your front or off to one side.
